Daittons Mzansi Parties – Cancellation & Refund Policy

This policy applies to all hosts, guests, event planners, venues, and DJs using Daittons Mzansi Parties (“Platform”). It explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for party bookings.


1. Guest Cancellations

  • Guests can cancel a booking through the Platform before the party start time.
  • Refund eligibility depends on booking type and host rules:

3–7 days before party 50% refund (minus platform service fee, if applicable)
Less than 3 days before party No refund unless host agrees otherwise
  • Guests are responsible for checking party details, rules, and special instructions before booking.

2. Host Cancellations

  • Hosts may cancel a party listing if unforeseen circumstances arise.
  • If a host cancels a booked party:
    • Guests will receive full refunds automatically.
    • Hosts should provide a minimum notice period of 48 hours where possible.
  • Repeated cancellations by a host may result in account suspension.

3. Party Planners, DJs, and Partner Venues

  • If a partner planner, DJ, or venue cancels, the host should:
    • Notify booked guests immediately
    • Offer substitute services if available
    • Refund payments if the event cannot proceed

4. Special Circumstances

  • Force majeure / emergencies:
    • Natural disasters, public emergencies, or government restrictions may warrant full refunds or rescheduling.
  • Guest no-shows:
    • No refund for guests who fail to attend without notice.
  • Host no-shows:
    • Full refund for guests; Daittons may take action against the host.

5. Refund Process

  • Refunds are processed via the original payment method.
  • Processing time: usually 5–7 business days.
  • Platform service fees may not be refundable.

6. Dispute Resolution

  • Guests and hosts should attempt to resolve issues directly first.
  • If unresolved, disputes can be escalated to Daittons for mediation.
  • Platform decisions are final for disputes regarding cancellations and refunds.

7. Recommendations for Users

  • Hosts: Set clear house rules, cancellation terms, and guest criteria when creating listings.
  • Guests: Check dates, time, location, and cancellation terms before booking.
  • All Users: Keep communication within the Platform for transparency.
